Firstly I believe it is important for the individual Witch to define his or her practice. What I mean by this is that each of us has a focus that permeates our Craft. There is something that we do most often or maybe it is the only thing we ever do. It is something that we love to
Once the focus is established in the mind of the Witch then the actual practice can be considered. Many of these concentrations can be done without actually revealing that it is a Witch that is practicing it. Healing can be done in a number of ways; through energy or Reiki, herbs, or crystals, just to name a few and none of these modalities are exclusive to Witchcraft. In fact many of these modalities are practiced by Christians! I could be a Witch living within a large Christian community with a practice that is dedicated to healing and I could choose to do this through Reiki. My neighbors wouldn’t even be aware that I was a Witch. I could live my entire life in that same community without any one of them knowing that their neighbor, that sweet Cricket lady who heals people with Reiki, was Witch.
I believe that even the witchiest of us could practice openly without anyone understanding what it is that is being done or recognize it for the Witchcraft that it is because the cunning Witch can disguise their practice so that to the ignorant viewer their Craft coudl be mistaken as a form of prayer or meditation practice. The Witch's altar could be seen as a shrine to the Mother Mary or other Holy Saint and using Sympathetic Magick and correspondences a spell might be viewed as a form of active prayer or petition to God, Jesus, Mary, or Saint. Using our creative minds Witches can easily disguise their practice or glamour their neighbors to see what they want them to see while practicing their Craft; living and thriving right under their upturned noses. Witches did it hundreds of years ago and can still do so today if there be the need.
