Aging is a process in which the physical body becomes older, showing indications of the time in which that specific body has resided on earth. Age is a measurement that human beings use to determine the length of an individual’s existence extending from their birth (manifestation) to the current moment in which their age is being determined. This measurement is a human notion and relies on the concept of time, which is just another manmade construct. We have created the concept of time so that we are able to organize our lives, but time is not as linear as we believe it to be. We perceive time as linear here on the physical plane of Earth, but beyond this limiting reality it does not exist.
In pure ethereal form, spirit is energy and in being such it is limitless and ageless. What we perceive as the spirit of our Beloved Dead is merely a projection of the personality of our Aunt Jane or Grandpa Joe or the residual energy of their personality lingering at a specific location or a remnant of them still undergoing the death process. The part of Aunt Jane that you recognize as her is in actuality how you perceive the totality of her, but it is not her Authentic Self or her Spirit, which is connected to everything and everyone (limitless) and has the ability to reincarnate (ageless). It is this projected, residual, or processing personality that Mediums connect with when communicating with our Beloved Dead and often times if there is concern that the message will not be believed Uncle Joe may project an image of himself that you remembered or would easily recognize so that you will be open and willing to hear what information he has to share with you, but this projection is not his Authentic Self. It is instead the image of their physical body that we recognize from photographic images and within our own memories.
From my perspective spirit does not age and to believe that it does limits the wisdom that the messages given to us from our Beloved Dead or any other spirit guide or entity through the assistance from a Medium possess.
