These are two topics that I am passionate about. Most of the information I share within these pages has been gathered over the years that I've been practicing, but it is not a beginner book. It is a book for Witches who have established their own practice and have gone through some type of transition and fell stagnant or dormant and are attempting to reestablish their practice. I discuss how I overcame my own stagnation and give advice on how the Witch might do

![]() I was engaged in a conversation the other day pertaining to the differences and similarities of an Empath, a Psychic, a Medium, and a Witch. The individual I was speaking with wondered where the boundary lay between these labels and if the boundaries were really clear or if there was a blending somewhere. I think there is a boundary, but I do believe that there are many individuals who may easily adopt more than one of these labels for themselves because I find that sometimes these abilities overlap though I have also met individuals who are simply one of these things and nothing more. ![]()
I've been identifying as Witch for years now since about 2004 when I held a Dedication Ritual to my path and my goddess after experiencing an Initiation by God Herself, though if I consider my life experience and personal spiritual journey it is clear to me now that I've always been Witch, I just never understood that it was a label that described me and what I was practicing. This thought causes me to consider that perhaps I was born Witch and the whole concept of born or made that I discuss in a video on my channel; Are Witches Born or Made?, but I don't have a definite answer to that very question for myself and would never assume to know the answer for anyone else. All I am confident about for me is that I am Witch. When I became Witch? I'm not certain, but I know it is who I am in this moment in my current incarnation. There are many reasons why I identify with Witch, some of these are touched upon in the following poem that I stumbled upon when watching videos on YouTube. This poem is not written by me, but by a fellow YouTube creator and I have included her video in which she reads her poem as well as a link to her channel. She has many wonderful videos discussing numerous topics pertaining to witchcraft and magick that I recommend.
![]() Sometimes as we live our lives and practice our Craft there are situations and people that can really just irritate us. Right? I am aware that these moments appear so that we can take time and reflect on why it bothers us to such an extent and to grow from the experience. Perhaps the person or situation is reflecting back at us something that we may want to examine more thoroughly; a wound that we have not healed from that could possibly be effecting our Craft in a way that is detrimental to our overall well-being. I believe that often times when we are being confronted and even ridiculed by a Christian this may hit us swifter and with more emotion than if it was by someone else and about something other than our religious or spiritual beliefs. There is this history we share that energetically binds us to each other in suffering and grief, which is a trigger for many Witches to lash out and feel the need to defend themselves, but I am not one of those Witches. I was raised within in Christian home and explored Christianity for years before forging my own spiritual path. It isn't that I disliked the teachings, but more that I don't believe that any one religion has ![]() I have been asked by an online friend and Witch, Adam Balan, to address the following quote that he shared with me. He explained that he read this comment in a post on a video that they had watched on someone else's YouTube channel. It was not stated by the YouTuber he was watching, but was left by a viewer of this particular channel. Adam recorded his own thoughts on this quote, which can be found on his channel under the video titled: The Witchy Show: "My Craft Is Better". You can access it through this link. I agree with his opinion and thoughts on this, but I have some things to share with you, my readers as well. Let's begin with me sharing the quote with you.

I was recently watching a LIVE streamed video by The Deviant Witches (Michael Blackthorn and Melissa The Dreadful Mystic), whom I absolutely adore, in which they were discussing intention and how intention isn’t the end all be all of spell casting as many individuals believe it to be. Unfortunately I was unable to participate in the chat during the live stream, but I wanted to share my thoughts with you because it is a topic I adore and I couldn’t agree MORE with what they had said during the stream.
While intention is a vital component of a Witch’s spell isn’t the ONLY component within it. Thinking something isn’t the only thing required of the Witch in order to create a change, one must also move, unless of course that individual has reached such an ![]() I host a weekly LIVE show called The Sacred Circle on my YouTube Channel (Lunar Wisdom) on which I invite guests to appear and discuss topics that cover Wicca, witchcraft, paganism, magick, and topics that are associated with these concepts. This past week, Wednesday, January 4, 2017, my guests were The Deviant Witches (Michael Blackthorn and Melissa, The Dreaful Mystic), and we discussed the idea “Fight Like a Witch” and what it meant to each of us. Michael asked that after the show anyone watching / listening delve into it more personally so this is what I am going to do because I have some thoughts to share. I first want to discuss what it means to fight. If you look in the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary you will find that fight is defined as: to contend in battle or physical combat, ![]() I read a blog earlier this morning with the theme: not everyone is a Witch. Witches are a specific type of person; Witches are born Witches, are created Witches, and are made to be Witches. I had to take some time to contemplate this idea. It really is similar to the question that I recorded a video about on my YouTube channel titled: Are Witches Born or Made? In that video I explain how I believe that every human being has the ability to be a Witch or to work with magick and witchcraft but I realize that not everyone will embrace this ability and perhaps even some individuals will not accept that they have the ability because they believe it to be “bad”, “evil” or “from Satan”. I ![]() There is a big difference between thinking positively and believing that we have the ability to change our reality. You can most certainly think you can … but do you really believe you have the ability to do so? This is the difference between positive thinking and making magick. Magick is the art of manipulating Will, emotions and energy in order to bring about change within an individual’s reality whether it is around them or within them. This is certainly more than just thinking positively about something and expecting it to change. The individual is required to be invested in creating the energetic shift to occur with their Will. Thinking positively won’t change anything on its own but it can help raise an individual’s vibration by shifting their point of view to those things that make them feel better. As witches we use magick for all sorts of intentions: gaining wealth, nurturing interpersonal relationships, advancing careers, protection, ![]() It is my belief that children need to be taught spirituality and which path is taught is usually the path that the parents follow. So, if you are Wiccan then you teach Wicca, if you are Christian then you teach Christianity. Does this mean that other religions or spiritual paths should be ignored? No. What it means is that you raise your children with the idea that there is something, a Divine Source from which all things flow, that there is a connection that binds all living beings and as that child matures you may then open the door to other paths so that the adolescent can experience other forms of spirituality and choose his/her path for his or herself. Children should understand that there are religions and spiritual paths that are different from their own however I believe that they first need to establish a foundation and ... ![]() Recently I overheard someone state that witches were more psychic than other people (muggles). Really? Is this true? I’m not so certain that statement resonates with me. I believe that each of us is born with psychic abilities. We possessed them prior to physical manifestation (birth), we retain them while possessing a body and will maintain them once we transition back to our spirit self. I don’t believe that we ever loose these innate abilities however I do understand that while we inhabit our bodies, and as time as we know it here passes, we become more ingrained in the physical than we once were. It is because of this that we may lose ‘touch’ with our psychic self who is still connected to God Herself or Divine Energy. Life on this physical plane of existence is amazing! The physical is full of so many different sounds, tastes, sights, scents and feelings. Our bodies ![]() I’ve always considered myself religious and/or spiritual. The word I chose to describe myself really depended on when in my life you ask me and where I was on my path seeking Truth. Was I religious? Yes, indeed I was - if at that time I was Roman Catholic or Methodist or One of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Was I spiritual? Yes, if you asked me at any other time. Because, you see, just as countless others have, I’ve traveled a convoluted winding pathway of concepts and ideas some filled with contradictions and absolutes as well as freedom from all dogma and restrictions. I am constantly seeking the answers to life’s most profound questions. You know the ones: Why am I here? What is the purpose of my life? What does God want from me? The list of questions goes on and on and I always felt there was a way to find the answers. I was certain they didn’t dwell in a book nor would pure faith give me the responses I sought. I knew they were within my reach. Somewhere. I just couldn’t see them. I needed to find the key, which my spirit/soul/inner being told me was buried within spirituality. |
