On occasion I come across spells that are shared on Facebook and other places on the internet. Some of these spells are helpful and can be a source of inspiration for the Witch, but the majority of the spells I read are just foolishness with many of them being piles of ... dare I say ... shit. I would like to take the opportunity to share with you some of the spells I come across and explain to you whey I think the spell is either a possible source of inspiration or why it's complete shit. I will also offer ways to edit or restructure the spell to make it workable with substitutions or additional correspondences. Let's begin ...

I was looking through a facebook group I am a member of and came across a post with a link to a blog, which bore the title: The Witch Who Hates Spells. I paused, shaking my head in disbelief. Really? A Witch who hates spells? I was intrigued and skeptical so I clicked the link and read the blog post.

During the LIVE streamed video by The Deviant Witches (Michael Blackthorn and Melissa The Dreadful Mystic) that I referred to in a blog post a few weeks ago the topic of recalling a cast spell was briefly discussed by Michael and Melissa. The specific question that was discussed was, “Once you cast a spell can you stop it?” The Deviant Witches chatted about the idea and it seemed that they were of somewhat opposing views and I wanted to present my thoughts on the topic because in my humble opinion, it is a juicy topic.

I was recently watching a LIVE streamed video by The Deviant Witches (Michael Blackthorn and Melissa The Dreadful Mystic), whom I absolutely adore, in which they were discussing intention and how intention isn’t the end all be all of spell casting as many individuals believe it to be. Unfortunately I was unable to participate in the chat during the live stream, but I wanted to share my thoughts with you because it is a topic I adore and I couldn’t agree MORE with what they had said during the stream.

While intention is a vital component of a Witch’s spell isn’t the ONLY component within it. Thinking something isn’t the only thing required of the Witch in order to create a change, one must also move, unless of course that individual has reached such an

I'm Too Exhausted To Cast a Spell

I was watching surfing YouTube the other day and happened to find a video about spirituality and magickal practice uploaded by a YouTuber I am aware of, but not subscribed to for a variety of reasons. I decided to play the video in the background while I checked my facebook accounts and responded to my messages and emails. In the video the YouTuber explained that she believed that everyone had the ability to create energetic changes within their life (practice magick) and that each of us were able to use the influences of our environments to do so. I couldn’t have agreed with her more at that point, as I also held the same belief. We are the creators of our life experiences and if we were encountering something we didn’t like or didn’t want we had the power to make changes in the mundane as well as with our Craft.

As this YouTuber continued to discuss her own magickal practice my agreement with her ended. She explained that she knew that doing magick drained every ounce of energy from the practitioner and she wasn’t currently practicing magick because she
