As much as humanity strives to live in harmony and peace, I do not believe that will ever truly be attained in the physical realm of earth as we know it. And you may read this and think that I am being pessimistic, but I assure you that this is not the case. It isn’t that I don’t believe that humanity doesn’t have the capability of living with each other in the vibration of love, peace, and harmony; I just don’t believe that is the reason the earth realm was created. This plane of existence was constructed for the existence of polarity so that the manifestation of Universal Source as humanity could experience the wide spectrum of human emotions and therefore learn more about itself. Each of us is an expression of this
This morning I am contemplating love. I love love. Today is most certainly a day for feeling it and giving it to others. I just had a phone Reading with a client who had many questions about her current romance and then came across a blog on facebook from LunaWillow discussing love. If this wasn’t Spirit guiding me today … then I am sorely misreading the signs.
LunaWillow presents some questions that I think truly deserve some attention because love is such a complex, overwhelming, and sometimes confusing human emotion to have. Although I believe it is more than an emotion. I believe love to be an experience. It is something we live, not just feel. It is an energetic vibrational energy that connects all humanity to one another. It
The Elf on the Shelf is one of the hottest and most discussed seasonal phenomenon that I’ve witnessed in years. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t know what Elf on the Shelf is and how it’s supposed to work. But just in case you may be one of those few who are not in ‘the know’ I’ll give you a quick summary.
Once a family adopts an Elf, reads the story of The Elf on the Shelf and names their pixie he will receive his Christmas magic. It is vital to note that the elf cannot be touched or he will lose this magic. Beginning around Thanksgiving the Elf watches everything that goes on in the home during the day and at night uses his magical powers to fly back to the North Pole to report back to Santa what he witnessed in the home. This will ensure that Santa will know who behaved and is to be put on the Nice List or who didn’t which will put the child on the Naughty List. Before the family awakes each morning, their elf will fly back to their home positioning himself in a different spot since these elves like to play games. On Christmas Eve, the scout elf will listen for Santa’s bell and then fly back to the North Pole until the next season.
The phrase “In perfect love and perfect trust” is commonly used when entering a ritual Circle. This phase states that we have an unconditional love and trust for all who are present within Circle with us – including ourselves. It is a way to set aside our ego and tap into the Universal Consciousness and group mind of the coven during this particular time – a time when we are between the worlds, beyond the bounds of time, where night and day, birth and death, joy and sorrow meet as one. It assures us that within Circle we are safe to be intimate and vulnerable. This can only be done with those with whom you trust implicitly.
The love that is spoken about in “perfect love” is divine love or agape. It is righteous, good and non-sexual. It is the love of God Herself; the love for the sacred being that each of us hold within us and that is connected to all that is living as well as deity. It is unconditional and knows what lies beyond our imperfect human flaws and weaknesses to what lays within our Higher Self.
What is the definition of love? How do you define love?
When I asked these questions on my personal facebook page a while ago different people had different answers. I expected this because as well all know we are coming to this life experience with different perspectives and when we use words like 'love' it is truly subjective based on whom we are and our life experience thus far.
Love is an intense feeling of deep fondness or liking.
This is my definition of love but even this concept had me contemplating.
