Recently I overheard someone state that witches were more psychic than other people (muggles). Really? Is this true? I’m not so certain that statement resonates with me. I believe that each of us is born with psychic abilities. We possessed them prior to physical manifestation (birth), we retain them while possessing a body and will maintain them once we transition back to our spirit self. I don’t believe that we ever loose these innate abilities however I do understand that while we inhabit our bodies, and as time as we know it here passes, we become more ingrained in the physical than we once were. It is because of this that we may lose ‘touch’ with our psychic self who is still connected to God Herself or Divine Energy.

allow us to experience so much of what this Earth has to offer that I think many of us forget that we also are intimately connected with God Herself as well as each other. In forgetting our past and where we originate from, we forget what wondrous abilities we possess within us, within our True Self.
Perhaps being a witch allows us to understand and remember that which many others have forgotten as they immerse themselves in this life experience. But are those who identify as a witch “more” psychic than those who do not? I don’t think so. For me that statement implies that witches have a greater degree of psychic ability than those who do not practice witchcraft and that is a concept I just don’t resonate with. Perhaps witches have a greater understanding and control of what we all naturally possess and perhaps witches may easily connect with Divine Energy but I believe that the amount of psychic ability we all hold is the same. Every being is and is part of the whole that is or God Herself. No one of us is “better” or “more” than another. We all possess the same potential though not all choose to study it or utilize it.
So in the end my answer to the question is this: Witches are not “more” psychic than Muggles. They are just more aware.
