On Tuesday, July 17, 2012, our coven did a Guided Meditation lead by one of our Coven members. The focus of the meditation was to release pain (physical, emotional, mental). During the meditation I was completely relaxed and focus on the sound of her voice as well as my breathing and then I felt myself detached. I was no longer following the Guided Meditation instead I was in the middle of a field or plain with others of my "tribe". Our village consisted of numerous tents both personal living tents and common ones. We were nomadic traveling from place to place and setting up our "village" when we found a spot that was ideal for our needs at that time. Our tents were like the one pictured here though each personal and common tent looked a little different.
There are many individuals that are skeptical of Wicca and feel that there is something sinister behind it. They imagine that Wicca is just a façade for something else, something to be afraid of. Perhaps they think this way because they were told by one of their religious leaders that anything that does not follow their spiritual beliefs, which are ‘good’, is of the opposing power, which is ‘evil’ or perhaps it is because they have watched one of the numerous movies or television series that propagate such a misrepresentation of what Wicca is. Deity is ineffable, enigmatic, immense, immanent, transcendent, indivisible and mutable. Deity is that which is and was and will always be. There is nothing that is not deity. Even if all things have the appearance of being separate and divisible. They are not. All beings are individual and yet collective in their infinite expressions. Deity is all things; that is why Deity is known to be a Sacred Mystery.
Deity is within all and is physically manifested in all. Male gendered beings are physical expressions of the masculine energies of Deity and female gendered beings are physical expressions of the feminine. Within them both resides the other.
