In my own Witchcraft practice I’ve used a few different pendulums over the years; metal, rose quartz, and the clear quartz I currently use most often. I have a strong bond with this particular pendulum and don’t see myself exchanging it for a different one any time soon. I encourage anyone interested in trying pendulum work to find one that really calls to them or draws them, just as when choose other tools of the Craft.
The other way I use my pendulum, a rose quartz one that I also keep in a small black pouch, is to scan a person’s chakras prior to doing a Reiki Healing. While the person is laying on the Reiki bed I hold the pendulum with my right hand over each chakra and wait for the pendulum to move. When it moves it indicates that the chakra is opened and depending on how quick or sluggish it moves it informs me how opened or closed the chakra is, but if the pendulum doesn’t move at all I know that there is a blockage present. This gives me the information I seek prior to working on the person.
These are the ways in which I use a pendulum, but it can be used for a number of different tasks such as locating lost objects, dispelling dense energy from a room or a space, locating ley lines, and numerous other energetic purposes.
