The “dream” is from the first person perspective so I don’t know what I look like, but I am aware that I am me though the birth
I opened my eyes and found myself standing in the middle of some sort of courtyard with stone buildings, which reminded me of older structures, surrounding me. I looked up and saw the sky above and noted that it is daylight. White cumulus clouds scatter the sapphire blue sky. There are numerous people running passed me in a state of panic. Off to the left and slightly behind me was my companion though I was unsure if this individual was my friend, sibling, or spouse, however I was acutely aware that both my companion and I were searching for my daughter, for who we were both concerned. My daughter was not a child conceived with this companion and I had the distinct feeling that my companion was not my lover. The bond I felt with my companion was of love, but not of a sexual nature, there was devotion and trust, but not a physical desire.
I didn’t visually see my companion, but I was aware that s/he was with me. I looked up at the sky and saw “a thing of destruction”. I first identified it as a bomb or missile, but as I examined it I realized it was neither, though it still held the same violently destructive force within it. I recognized that once “the thing of destruction” impacted with the earth all the people around me, including myself and my companion, would be mercilessly demolished.
I began running forward searching for my daughter; I was worried that she would not be able to find me or those who would be able to protect her and help her stay safe from “the thing of destruction”. My companion ran in a different direction in order to cover more area, s/he moved off to the left in a wide arch, while still moving forward, though I was still unable to visually see him/ her. I frantically examined the alleys between the buildings knowing that I was running out of time and that “the thing of destruction” was moving closer and closer.
I glanced up to the sky and saw the growing shadow of the “thing of destruction” and instinctively knew that I would not be able to make it out of the impact radius in time. I tried desperately outrunning the impact, but felt the gush of wind against my body as I was violently pushed forward to my knees as “the thing of destruction” slammed into the surface of the earth somewhere behind me. The flesh of my body tingled and as I stood, I was surprised that I was still able to move. The stone structures around me were in various states of ruin, but I didn’t see any other people in the vicinity.
I tried to comprehend what had happened, my companion ran up from behind me. I could see her/him, though their gender was unclear. The flesh of their face was wounded with large cuts and burns, their hair was matted with blood, their clothing was shredded and barely covered their battered body. My companion seemed to be unable to see me and wandered past me as if I were invisible. It at that point that I realized that my physical body had been disintegrated by the impact of “the thing of destruction” and that I was in my ethereal form; that my spirit had been dislodged from my physical body which no longer existed.
